The inauguration of the two day Sadgamaya Camp was held at Amrita Vidyalayam Mangaluru on June 13, 2019 at 10 am in Amriteshwari Hall. The programme was graced by the presence of the Correspondent of the school, Bri. Mangalamritha Chaithanyaji, Resource Persons Mr. Vivek Vijayan, National Coordination Committee Member for AYUDH and IAM programmes and Mr. Amritesh A.R., Program Coordinator of the Youth Empowerment Programme of AYUDH, Mr. Rupesh Kalesan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita University’s Amritapuri Campus, Mr. Sumesh K.P., who has worked in prestigious organizations like ISRO, L&T and Godrej in the past and is now an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita University’s Amritapuri Campus, Senior Principal Mr. Ramachandra Bhat and Vice Principal Mrs. Anupama Rao. This was a two-day camp which was held on June 13th and 14th, 2019 at the school by the resource persons, Mr. Vivek and Mr. Amritesh.
The programme began with a prayer invoking God’s blessings, and the host, Mrs. Shruthi Rao gave a brief introduction to the goal of the Sadgamaya Camp which is to aspire to inspire young minds to live a life worth living with mental strength and self- confidence rooted in our culture. Following this, Swamini Amma led the lighting of the lamp along with the other dignitaries. This was followed by a welcome speech by the Vice Principal and the guests were introduced to the audience.
Swamini Amma then addressed the students saying that we are born in a glorious country and are part of a very special and blessed institution. She also said that there is a need to cultivate an awareness in the youth of today about the rich heritage as well as the value system of our motherland, and try to protect and preserve it from eroding. She asked students to participate enthusiastically in the camp and receive the best given to them with grace and delight.
Ms. Shwetha expressed the vote of thanks to the dignitaries and the gathering. With this, the formal inauguration came to an end and the camp sessions began.
