Guru Poornima was celebrated at our school on July 19, 2016. The programme began with prayer followed by a welcome dance. Students enacted a drama highlighting the importance of the Guru. The students’ performances also included action songs, bhavageethe and devotional songs. Under the guidance of our Correspondent Bri. The Chief Guest for the occasion, Sri. Rajashekhar Hebbar, President of Bharathiya Samskruthi Prathishtana, Udupi, spoke about the importance of parents and teachers, and the values that should be imparted to students in an institution.
Students distributed birthday cards to parents whose birthdays were in June, and a few of the parents expressed their views about the celebration. The programme ended with arati and prasad distribution.
